Mansoura University was ranked among the best 4.2% out of 20,966 universities in the world in the “CWUR” ranking, which is concerned with ranking universities around the world, and ranked 3rd locally and 11th place in Africa, where the university achieved 873rd place globally according to the 2024 edition of the Global 2000 list based on results by the Center for World University Rankings.
Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University, confirmed that the university’s obtaining 3rd place in the “CWUR” ranking is a continuation of the advanced positions achieved by Mansoura University in all international assessments every year due to its commitment to applying international standards in all aspects related to the education and scientific research system. Pointing out that this ranking indicates that the university enjoys a distinguished reputation, whether locally or internationally, as it is moving steadily towards progress and leadership through its study programs and scientific research, to which it pays great attention.
Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, explained that the CWUR ranking selects only 2,000 universities out of more than 20,000 universities in the world, where objective indicators are used for all four basic pillars on which the ranking methodology is based (education, employability, faculty members, and scientific research):
“Quality of Education” by 25%, employment of graduates by 25%, excellence of faculty members by 10%, in addition to the outputs and performance of scientific research by 40%, which it includes four sub-criteria at 10% for each sub-criteria: the total number of papers, the number of distinguished papers, the number of papers that appear in high-impact journals, and research citations.
