Mansoura University tops Egyptian universities in the “Webometrics” Ranking of reference citations, July 2024 edition

According to the Webometrics Ranking of reference citations, July 2024, Mansoura University topped the Egyptian universities and came in first place with a number of citations amounting to (703287) reference citations, and it came in 636th  place in the world.

It is worth noting that the Spanish “Webometrics” Ranking for reference citations depends on university websites and the rate of citations to scientific research published internationally, relying on the “Google Scholar” search engine for citations to international research.

The ranking urges academic institutions in the world to present their scientific activities that reflect their academic level on the Internet, as it depends on evaluating the performance of universities using web indicators and bibliometric indicators for scientific research, through their websites within criteria that include the capacity of the university’s website, links and number of networks, external information that links to the university’s web pages, the appearance of the university’s website on other websites, the number of research papers published in the best international journals, as well as references to them.
