Mansoura University continues its global achievements

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, announced on December 19, 2024, that Mansoura University achieved 3rd place among Egyptian universities and 7th among Arab universities in the Arab University Rankings 2024, as well as achieving 2nd place locally in the "Teaching and Learning" and "Scientific Research" indicators in the same ranking, which shows the university's focus on the quality of teaching and innovative education, while achieving distinguished performance in producing influential scientific research at the regional and international levels.
About 373 Arab universities from 16 Arab countries participated in this edition of the ranking, and the number of universities that completed the ranking data reached 180 universities, which is double the number of universities that applied last year 2023, which was only 208 universities. The ranking depends 45% on the information and indicators provided by the universities, which reflects the high competitiveness between Arab universities in this ranking, and 55% on the indicators and data in the Scopus - SciVal database.
The Arab University Ranking is based on a comprehensive set of criteria that ensure an objective and comprehensive assessment of university performance, including four main evaluation performance indicators, each with 9 sub-performance criteria: the main performance indicator "Teaching and Learning" at (30%), the main performance indicator "Scientific Research" at (30%), the main performance indicator "Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Innovation" (20%), and the main performance indicator "International and Local Cooperation and Community Service" (20%).
Prof. Cherif Khater praised the remarkable progress achieved by Mansoura University, stressing that this achievement reflects a set of positive factors, including the development of the educational infrastructure, modernization of curricula, increased research productivity, and support for creative initiatives, noting that this progress confirms the university's commitment to providing high-quality education, contributing to building a knowledge-based society, as well as the university's commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, and its effective contribution to achieving the sustainable development goals. He added that this achievement is the beginning of a new phase of development and excellence at the university, as it will continue its efforts to enhance its position at the Arab and international levels, by focusing on advanced scientific research, developing staff, and building strategic partnerships with international academic institutions. He congratulated all Mansoura University staff on achieving this achievement, stressing the university's keenness to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and achieve the sustainable development goals related to Egypt's Vision 2030, and the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aims to raise the progress of universities on the map of Arab and international rankings, noting that the university's progress in the rankings highlights its ability to face academic and research challenges through sound strategic plans.
This reflects its constant pursuit of excellence and remaining a leader among Arab universities.
Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Graduate Studies and Research, said that Mansoura University's progress in this rankings came as a result of the university's interest in developing curricula and providing an academic environment that supports creativity and research excellence. He pointed out that this achievement reflects the dedication and loyalty shown by each individual in the university to achieve this distinction.
