Further to Mansoura University's participation in the fifth cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Award 2026, three teams and an innovative initiative from the university have qualified for the personal interview stage in the "Best Government Team" and "Innovative Government Initiative" categories.
The qualifying teams from Mansoura University include the "Basma" team, the "Pioneers of Research Excellence" team, and the "AI Kids" team, among ten teams qualifying in the "Best Government Team" category. The "Biovalves Initiative" also qualified among ten initiatives in the "Innovative Government Initiative" category.
Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, emphasized that the qualification of university teams in both the teams and innovation categories reflects the efforts exerted by the various faculties and departments within the university, and their support for ideas and initiatives that contribute to developing work and improving services. He noted the university's continued support for the qualified teams and initiatives during the interview stage, working to enhance their participation and leverage the accumulated experience gained in government excellence competitions.
The university president expressed his gratitude to Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Head of the University's Supreme Committee for Government Excellence, the members of the Supreme Committee, the Center for Excellence and Future Foresight, the working teams, and the initiative leaders for their efforts in preparing and following up on the participation files throughout the evaluation stages.
This qualification complements Mansoura University's previous announcement of the qualification of four faculties—Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, and Engineering—within the "Distinguished Government Institution – Government Faculties" category. The university also qualified for the field visit stage in the "Best Disability-Friendly Entity" and "Equal Opportunities and Women's Empowerment" categories, thus expanding the university's participation in the fifth cycle of the Egypt Government Excellence Award 2026.
