Mansoura University: Oncology Center Receives Full Accreditation from the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control (GAHAR) According to GAHAR Standards

President of Mansoura University congratulates the staff of the Oncology Center on this achievement, which reflects their commitment to applying quality standards and patient safety.
Prof. Cherif Khater: The accreditation of the Oncology Center is the culmination of continuous efforts and confirms the university's commitment to developing its medical system and raising the level of health services.
The General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control, headed by Dr. Ahmed Taha, announced in an official statement the latest decisions of its Higher Accreditation Committee, which included granting full accreditation to the Oncology Center at Mansoura University in Dakahlia Governorate. This was among decisions that included the accreditation and renewal of accreditation for 32 health facilities in 12 governorates, belonging to various sectors of healthcare providers.
Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, congratulated Prof. Walid El-Nahhas, Director of the Oncology Center, and the faculty members, doctors, nursing staff, and employees of the center on receiving full accreditation. He praised their efforts in fulfilling the accreditation requirements and applying quality standards, which supports the provision of safe and effective health services to patients.
He emphasized that the Oncology Center's attainment of the " GAHAR " accreditation represents an institutional achievement reflecting Mansoura University's commitment to developing its medical system and elevating the level of healthcare services. It also underscores the center's adherence to quality and patient safety standards, including infection control, safe medication use, risk management, patient journey organization, and continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement.
He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Prof. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. El-Shaarawy Kamal, Executive Director of University Hospitals, the heads of medical departments, and the directors of university hospitals and specialized medical centers for their efforts in supporting the quality and accreditation system, monitoring development plans, and enhancing performance efficiency. He affirmed that this achievement is the fruit of integrated efforts from various medical and administrative sectors.
The university president explained that the Oncology Center is the second center at Mansoura University to receive full accreditation according to GAHAR standards. This is part of the university's plan to upgrade its various centers and university hospitals and meet accreditation requirements. He added that the Ophthalmology Center at Mansoura University has also received initial accreditation, and that the remaining centers and hospitals are working towards fulfilling the accreditation requirements. This will strengthen the development of an integrated medical system based on quality and patient safety.
The Oncology Center's full accreditation confirms the continuous progress being made by Mansoura University's medical system towards meeting quality and accreditation standards. Work continues to complete the accreditation requirements for the remaining hospitals and specialized medical centers, thus supporting the development of the healthcare system provided to patients.
