Mansoura University discussing the establishment of Mansoura City Metro

Within Mansoura university's framework to solve the problem of traffic congestion inside the city of Mansoura.
On Monday 3rd July 2017, prof / Ashraf Abd Albaset – vice- president for student and education affairs, received Dr./ Ahmed Al-Sharkawy - Member of the Chamber of Deputies - Mansoura District, the commercial attaché in the French Embassy, Eng./ Tariq Abu Al-Wafa- Deputy Minister of Transport, the heads of 11 international companies Specializing in the fields of transportation, communication, and infrastructure specialized in the construction of the subway and a set of faculty of Engineering staff members.
They discussed opportunities for cooperation and possibility of conducting joint feasibility studies for Mansoura city metro project.
Each company presented its work and expertise in the field of railways and metro, the professors and experts of the Faculty of Engineering also presented their international and local expertise in the same fields.
The French side presented a French grant for feasibility studies for the project, preliminary studies and proposed solutions, and presented them to the Egyptian side to select the most suitable solutions for implementation.
On his side prof/ Abd Al Baset, pointed out that the university, will provide all kinds of support and studies for the project, with the participation of the expertise of its scientists and experts in the Faculty of Engineering.
