Mansoura University organizes the First Francophone Cultural Festival

The French department administration organized the first Francophone Cultural Festival at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts.
Under the auspices of prof/ Mohamed Kenawy - President of Mansoura University.
To celebrate the International Day for the Development of the Study of the Francophone Students, and promoting the Egyptian-French cultural dialogue.
Its worth to mention that learning French is important because it is the third most widely spoken language in the world, and because of the existence of one school for teaching French in Mansoura there is a lack of French proficiency.
Prof/ Farah Al-Shennawi- Vice-President of Mansoura University, stressed the importance of dialogue with other peoples and knowledge of their language. Hence, Egyptian universities were required to establish programs of education in French and sign cooperation protocols with a number of French universities.
prof/ Ashraf Abdel Basset - Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, pointed out that there is mutual respect and appreciation between the Egyptian and French sides because they have a common history and cooperation over the years since the discovery of the symbols of Rosetta Stone by Champillion"
He stressed that the French language deserves more attention than is required, calling for the exchange of experiences with all French universities, which will benefit Egypt in communicating with all African peoples who speak French
