President of the University of Mansoura follows the development of the the Addiction Treatment Unit

Prof/ Mohamed Kenawy - President of Mansoura University, received Prof/ Hala El-Borai - Head of Psychiatry Department - Faculty of Medicine, who presented a report on the activity of the Addiction Treatment Unit in the Department of Psychiatry and the number of treated cases.
They also discussed the activation of the cooperation protocol between Mansoura University and the Anti-Addiction and Abuse Fund to provide guidance, preventive and awareness services to university students to implement a professional diploma to combat addiction.
Prof/ Hala El-Borai confirmed that the unit receives all types of addiction patients of all ages.
The patients are treated to recovery and followed up for 3 months after treatment with a rehabilitation program till their full recovery.
She added that there are serious types of drugs recently reached Egypt, and that seminars and conferences are being held to educate parents about ways to prevent addiction.
She also wishes to expand the center of psychiatry to include the treatment of addiction for teenagers, women and girls.
