The President of Mansoura University Holds a Meeting with Members of International Relations Office to look for the Strategies of Internationalization of the University

In the framework of the University's care for applying internationalization, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset presided over the first meeting with International Relations office at the University after its updating. The attendees were Prof. Azza Ismail, the counselor of the University's president, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed ElRefaie, the director of International Relations Office, and coordinators of programs and faculties of the university.

In the beginning of the meeting, Prof.Ashraf Abdel-Basset welcomed the members of the office and wished them good luck in their new mission in order to apply internationalization policy at different faculties of the university, to raise the quality level as well as the university's ranking internationally. Further, he stressed on the importance of the communication between the university and different foreign universities to exchange experiences and efficiencies in different fields. Besides, he confirmed the importance of internationalization scholarships offered by international organizations for Egyptian researchers.

Dr. Mohamed ElRefaie, the director of International Relation office started his word by thanking prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset for attending the first meeting of the office. Furthermore, he stressed on the importance of internationalization file and the care of University's administration for providing all possibilities to achieve it. Dr. Mohamed ElRefaie presented a PowerPoint presentation on the importance of internationalization in any scientific institution to improve its International Ranking.

 He confirmed that the office's policy targets two parallel factors to achieve this goal: the first factor is to raise the consciousness of the teaching staff of the university to recognize the importance of internationalization in all educational and research levels and setting a comprehensive plan to define the different chances of internationalization as well as the importance of the role of the faculties' coordinators in this field. The Second factor is to continue communicating with foreign universities and institutions for mutual cooperation. Further, he presented a project by the university to qualify experts from the university through a program to prepare international projects for competition and receive fund from international scientific organizations.
