The most prominent topics of the Mansoura University Council for February 2024

Mansoura University Council held its session on February 26, 2024, No. (608), headed by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, to discuss topics of university affairs.
At the beginning of the session, Prof. Muhammad Ahmed Ghoneim, pioneer of kidney transplantation and founder of the Urology and Nephrology Surgery Center, was honored for winning the Best Scientific Production Award in Leadership and Innovation from Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Council approved the granting of academic titles and appointments (9 professors - 19 assistant professors - 24 lecturers).
The Council approved the establishment of the Human Rights Unit at the university and the adoption of its work system, the adoption of the unified regulations for the ethics of scientific research in its final form, and the adoption of the work rules for the Turnitin plagiarism program at the university related to the mechanism for examining dissertations and scientific research in its final form.
The Council also approved the establishment of an interprofessional diploma in diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy at the Faculty of Medicine, and the adoption of a mechanism for dealing with chemicals at the university within the framework of the university’s strategy of being an environmentally friendly university.
The Council agreed to conclude several cooperation protocols and memorandums of understanding: a cooperation protocol contract between the Faculty of Law and the Administrative Prosecution Authority, a cooperation protocol between the university and the International University of Science and Technology in the State of Kuwait. The cooperation protocol between the university and the Al Ain University in Iraq, the cooperation protocol between the university and Samanoud Technological University in its final form, a cooperation protocol in the field of academic research and joint scientific publishing between the Research Chair of Voice and Swallowing Disorders (RCVASD) Department of Ear, Nose and Throat at King Saud University and the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat “Speech Communication Unit”, a memorandum of understanding between the university and the United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain,UAE.
