President of Mansoura University and the Governor of Dakahlia inaugurate the training program to qualify doctors to assume leadership and administrative positions in hospitals and health departments

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia, witnessed the inauguration of the training program to enhance the efficiency and qualification of doctors nominated to assume leadership positions in the Directorate of Health Affairs in Dakahlia, which is organized by the governorate at the Conference Hall in the building of Dakahlia Governorate over a period of three weeks from March 16 to April 1, 2024.

This comes within permanent cooperation between Mansoura University and Dakahlia Governorate in various fields, which contributes to achieving the public interest of the state and serving the people of Dakahlia Governorate. This training course aims to build a scientific and practical knowledge based on the various relevant experiences of the faculty members at Mansoura University, and aims to develop the health system and provide the best medical service to citizens in the hospitals affiliated with the Health Directorate in Dakahlia Governorate.

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater said that Mansoura University is keen to provide a specialized and integrated training program at the highest level, by seeking the help of an elite group of specialized faculty members to provide a training program to qualify young leaders in the governorate to lead the health system in Dakahlia, pointing out that this comes in accordance with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to continue ongoing efforts to improve the availability and quality of health services provided to citizens.

The training program includes several training axes: strategic planning and logistical support, governance, financial management and regulations governing work in hospitals, mechanization and digital transformation, quality standards, transformation and qualification towards implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, and the training is conducted by an elite group of teaching members at the university in various specializations in faculties: medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, law, and commerce. The training program in the first phase includes training 200 doctors from the Ministry of Health in the specializations of “medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and physical therapy.”
