President of Mansoura University and the Governor of Dakahlia witness the conclusion of the training program for raising the efficiency and qualification of doctors to assume leadership and administrative positions in hospitals and health departments

On April 1, 2024, Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia, witnessed the closing events of the training program to raise the efficiency and qualification of doctors to assume leadership and administrative positions in hospitals and health departments during the period from March 16 to April 1, 2024. The trainers of the course participants from faculty members, physician trainees, and course coordinators at Mansoura University were honored.

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater said that the university’s participation in the governorate’s training program to qualify medical personnel reflects the university’s belief in its role entrusted with developing the health system and paying attention to the health of citizens, and contributing to the preparation of young leadership doctors capable of assuming responsibility for leading the health system in Dakahlia, in accordance with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to keep pace with the direction of the new republic, and the priority of attention to citizen health, and in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development.

The President of Mansoura University praised the fruitful cooperation between the university and the governorate in all fields, especially the medical field, which reflects the extent of integration and coordination between the two sides, so that Mansoura will always remain the pioneer of medicine in Egypt, pointing to the status of all available university capabilities in supporting various training programs, which keeps pace with modern developments and the digital transformation of medical services to improve the medical system and provide the best medical services to citizens. He added that the ability to manage and make decisions comes through training and qualification through specialized training courses that work to discover leadership talents and develop creative capabilities and innovation in management.

He thanked and appreciated the leaders and scientists of Mansoura University, the faculty members who participated in the training program, and the course coordinators for the success of the training course.

Dr. Ayman Mukhtar thanked and appreciated the President of Mansoura University and the university’s faculty members for participating in this training program, which is the first of its kind to qualify doctors for leadership. He added that the benefits that will be gained from this course will accrue to the people of Dakahlia by ensuring the provision of high-quality health care to all patients and those who receive health care, because distinguished and excellent hospital management is what will lead to the success of the medical service.

The Governor said that the goal of this training program is to raise the efficiency of doctors and select the best of them to assume leadership and administrative positions in all hospitals and health departments in Dakahlia to advance the medical system to serve citizens in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

The training program included training 192 doctors from the Ministry of Health from specializations (human medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and physical therapy). The training was conducted by an elite group of faculty members at Mansoura University from various specializations in the faculties of (medicine - veterinary medicine - education – law- commerce - Specific Education), which includes five training programs, which are (strategic planning - governance - financial management and regulations governing work in hospitals - mechanization and digital transformation - quality and qualification measures towards implementing the comprehensive health insurance system).
