Mansoura University wins first place in the “Egypt Summit for Community Investment Projects” competition

The events of the “Egypt Summit for Community Investment Projects” competition, launched by the Innovators and Geniuses Fund in cooperation with the Hult Prize International Competition Authority, have ended. To compete between student teams at different universities in Egypt, who have ideas and prototypes for community projects that can be turned into startup companies.

The Lothgha App team from Mansoura University won first place and received a financial prize of 100000 pounds.

More than 160 teams participated in the competition, which included 600 students from 40 Egyptian universities. Each university submitted a number of student teams, which were initially filtered at the university level by university coordinators, to choose the best student teams representing each university, praising the efforts of Egyptian universities in supporting entrepreneurship and innovation among its students, 19 student teams from 15 universities competed in the final qualifying activities of the competition, which was held at the New Cairo Technological University. The jury included an elite group of experts, specialists and investors who evaluated the projects of the participating teams to choose the best ones, and the evaluations resulted in a qualification of 6 teams to the final stage.

It is worth noting that 11 student teams will represent Egypt in the regional competitions, which are the penultimate stage of the international Hult Prize competition, which will be held in London next September, to compete for financial prizes worth 1500000 dollars, which will be awarded to the best team in the world that wins the competition, so that he can implement his project.
