Head of the liver transplant team at Mansoura receives the Russian "Demikhov" Medal in recognition of his role in liver transplantation

The Russian Society of Organ Transplant Specialists, Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine and the Moscow Healthcare System honored the Egyptian scientist Prof. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, head of the liver transplantation team at Mansoura University, and awarded him the "Demikhov" Medal, which bears the name of the great Russian transplant scientist Vladimir Demikhov in appreciation of Abdel Wahab’s efforts in the field of organ transplantation. In terms of honoring him, this comes “taking into account your invaluable services to organ transplantation in the world.”
This came during Prof. Abdel Wahab’s participation in the International Conference on Organ Transplantation, which was launched in the Russian capital, Moscow, and which is considered one of the largest international conferences on organ transplantation in Russia and the world, where our great Egyptian scientist participates in the conference within the organizing committee of the conference in the position of co-chair.
It is worth noting that Prof. Mohamed Abdel Wahab is the supervisor of the liver transplantation program at Mansoura University and currently chairs the International Society for Gastrointestinal and Liver Surgery. He also holds the Pioneers in Medicine Award from the Academy of Scientific Research and is a member of the Foreign Universities Review Committee and the General Committee for Equivalencies in Life Sciences and Medicine at the Supreme Council of Universities.
Recently, a decision was issued by the Prime Minister to include him in the Supreme Council for Clinical Medical Research Ethics.
