Mansoura University wins the “Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University Award” for the best scientific production in leadership and innovation

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, received on June 5, 2024, the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University Award for the best scientific production in leadership and innovation in its 1st  edition.

During the activities of the awards ceremony held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, under the patronage of the Secretary-General of the League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector, Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Issa Al-Ansari, President of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University.

Mansoura University was honored for receiving the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University Award for "Best Scientific Production in Leadership and Innovation" by announcing the excellence of the research team representing the university, headed by the great scientist Prof. Muhammad Ahmed Ghoneim, pioneer of kidney transplantation, and founder of the Nephrology and Urology Center at Mansoura University, for the team's research related to the use of stem cells to treat diabetics.

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, greeted and congratulated the great scientist Prof. Mohamed Ghoneim and the research team, for their valuable research efforts, which achieved an unprecedented scientific accomplishment, added to the list of achievements of Mansoura University, and contributes strongly to upgrading its scientific and research ranking among the world's universities and research institutions

Prof. Cherif Khater praised the objectives of the award in enhancing the role of universities in scientific production and participation in research, and reviving the spirit of scientific competition between universities, and stressed that Mansoura University's receipt of the award is a high-level honor that enhances and confirms the position of Mansoura University Arab and regional and in light of global competition in research, leadership and innovation.

It is worth mentioning that this award is one of the initiatives of Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University worldwide, which was launched during the conference of the Association of Arab Universities in its 53rd  session, and under the auspices of the League of Arab States, and aims to promote scientific research, applied research, and raise the level of scientific research in the Arab world, cooperation between Arab universities in the scientific and academic fields to increase their competitiveness at the regional and global levels, in addition to promoting scientific research, encouraging publication in scientific journals and creating a spirit of scientific competition among researchers in general.
