The most prominent topics of Mansoura University Council for June 2024

The Council of Mansoura University, headed by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, held on June 26, 2024, its session No. (612), whrere he began the session by thanking and appreciating the Vice Presidents of the University, the deans and vice-deans of the faculties, faculty members, and administrators at the university for their efforts to regularize the conduct of the end of the academic year exams 2023/2024 according to the schedules.

Many important topics to university affairs were discussed which were:

- Discussing the proposal of Mansoura University on how Egypt deals with the BRICS countries.

- Sending a letter to the Supreme Council of Universities that Mansoura University needs to establish faculties (Media - Archeology – Al-Alsun - Economics and political science - Physical therapy - Graduate studies).

- Approval of granting Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed El-Sherbiny Abdel Halim - Head of the Department of Nanotechnology and Materials at Zewail City of Science and Technology - a PhD in Science (D.Sc) / Chemistry / Organic Chemistry.

- Approval of the signing of a number of cooperation protocols and memorandums of understanding:

1- Signing a cooperation agreement with the International University for Science and Technology in the State of Kuwait.

2- Signing a memorandum of understanding with Delta University for Science and Technology.

3- Signing a cooperation protocol between the Research Chair - Voice, Swallowing and Communication Disorders, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat - Saud University, and the Faculty of Medicine at the University, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat - Speech Unit in the field of academic research cooperation and joint scientific publishing between the two parties.

4- Renewal of the cooperation protocol between the university and the Algerian Ferhat Abbas University Setif (1) for a period of five years from 2024 to 2029.

5- Signing a cooperation agreement between the university represented by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kasetsart University - Thailand.

6- Signing a memorandum of understanding with Azerbaijan Medical University in Azerbaijan.

- Approval of the granting of scientific titles and appointments: - (granting 7 professor's degrees - granting 15 assistant professor degrees) - (appointing 14 as a lecturer - appointing 1 as a fellow - appointing 1 as a consultant).
