The Minister of Higher Education honors Mansoura University for advancing 200 places in the QS World University Ranking for the year 2025

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Graduate Studies and Research, on behalf of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received the university’s certificate of honor during the events honoring the universities listed in the QS Ranking for university specializations for the year 2025. In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Hossam Othman, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Innovation and Scientific Research, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary of the Association of Arab Universities, and Prof. Alaa Ashmawy, Head of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. Prof. Abeer Al-Shater, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and General Supervisor of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and a group of university presidents, ministry and university leaders, faculty members, and a number of researchers.
Mansoura University, according to the QS World University Ranking for the year 2025, ranked 4th at the level of Egyptian public universities, and 15th at the level of African universities, advancing 200 places over last year 2024 in the category from 951 to 1000 globally instead of 1000 to 1200, and appeared in 12 specializations. Academically, it is among the best 500 universities in the world in 8 academic specializations. The ranking includes the best 15,559 universities in the world.
The core disciplines included 5 sectors of science: arts, humanities, technology, life sciences, medicine, natural sciences, social sciences, and management.
During his speech at this celebration, Prof. Ayman Ashour stressed the importance of the great support provided by the political leadership to the development of the higher education system over the past ten years, which was an impetus for achieving remarkable progress in international rankings, in light of the scientific research policies pursued by the Ministry in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Prof. Ayman Ashour appreciated the efforts of the universities that contributed to being in the QS global rankings, stressing the importance of universities continuing to improve the quality of their research to be in advanced positions.
Prof. Cherif Khater extended his greetings and appreciation to the faculty members and researchers for their distinguished and constantly exerted efforts, which played a major role in the university’s leadership locally, and globally topping the international rankings. He added that the university has achieved a breakthrough in various international rankings as the strategy adopted by Mansoura University in this regard had a great impact in achieving this remarkable progress, in addition the university paid great attention to international publishing in major scientific journals, and providing technical and material support to researchers as well.
Prof. Tarek Ghalwash expressed his pleasure with this honor, which comes in recognition of Mansoura University’s distinguished role in implementing the university’s strategy of paying attention to scientific research, raising incentives for international publishing, and digital transformation in the educational and research process and services at the university and its distinction until it has become a destination for students coming from different parts of the world.
