Holding the 13th Young Researchers Forum at Faculty of Science, Mansoura University

On July 9, 2024, the Graduate Studies and Research Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Science organized the 13th Young Researchers Forum entitled “The development of scientific research in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030” in the hall of Prof. Ahmed Amin Hamza in the Faculty of Science, under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater - President of Mansoura University, in the presence of Prof. Tarek Ghalwash - Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Osama Al-Ayyan - Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Ihab Abdel Latif - Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, former deans and vice deans , faculty members, heads of the faculty’s departments, and researchers.
During his speech, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash stressed the importance of the Faculty of Science in achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 through scientific research and Mansoura University’s continued keenness to support researchers in the Faculty of Science by funding research projects in all specializations and scientific fields.
The forum is an opportunity to exchange experiences and visions between scientists, professors, and young researchers and present ideas for unconventional research to solve societal problems that enhance the goals of sustainable development.
He pointed to the distinguished role of the faculty of Science in current research projects at the level of the entire university and its distinction in the field of international publishing, where credit for scientific publishing is due to the efforts and efficiency of the faculty members in the faculty of Science. He added that the university is doing its best to provide a good climate for study and scientific research and to help in disseminating scientific research locally and internationally, which allowed the faculty of Science to reach the highest ranking in the field of scientific research and international publishing at the level of local and international universities. He also praised the university’s advancement of 200 places at the university level within the QS Ranking for the year 2025
During his speech, Prof. Osama Al-Ayyan praised Mansoura University’s support for the faculty in developing its research capabilities and stated that this forum aims to maximize the role of scientific research, exchange knowledge and research experiences, keep pace with developments in it, apply the results of scientific research in various industrial and vital fields, and motivate researchers to participate in Scientific seminars and conferences. He added that Mansoura University is keen to keep pace with new scientific research in various fields through research that achieves Egypt’s Vision 2030 in various scientific fields.
Prof. Ihab Abdel Latif said that the ultimate goal of the recipient is to keep pace with developments in scientific research, whereby young researchers can exchange ideas and research experiences to provide the best scientific research in various fields. Based on this, a group of scientists and an elite group of Faculty members in various fields and specializations to deliver a number of lectures on the sidelines of the forum.
