President of Mansoura University meets with students accepted into the USAID Scholarship Program

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, held a meeting on August 4, 2024, with students accepted into the USAID Scholar's Activity program, representing the faculties of engineering, science, computers and information, and agriculture; who passed the tests required for acceptance into the scholarship before traveling to American universities.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Magdy Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Prof. Mohamed Shata, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Sherif Badawi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Osama Al-Ayan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Mohsen Zahran, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Director of the Biotechnology Program at the Faculty of Science.
Prof. Cherif Khater said that the University's strategy to activate international partnerships and international cooperation through grants from international bodies comes within the framework of achieving the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt, and an important step towards enhancing opportunities for cooperation between Mansoura University and foreign universities aiming to exchange experiences and expertise to develop students' skills and qualify them in interdisciplinary study programs, which contributes to enhancing their scientific and research capabilities. He pointed out that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, has paid great attention to developing the higher education system to prepare qualified graduates capable of competing in various fields. He also asked the students to be true ambassadors for Mansoura University and Egypt, to be up to the responsibility and to be equipped with knowledge, science, and culture, and to achieve maximum benefit during their study abroad. He also pointed out that the university will do its best to provide all forms of support to its students and guidance to specialists to follow up on all students since their travel and follow up on their conditions during their study abroad. He also appreciated the fruitful cooperation between Mansoura University and the United States Agency for International Development "USAID" in implementing the student scholarships project. At the end of his speech, the university president called on all students to benefit from cultures and gain scientific experiences and transfer them to their colleagues, and to be keen to acquire various skills and raise their capabilities, so that they are able to compete in the local and international labor market.
