Mansoura University President Receives Sudanese Ambassador to Discuss Ways of Cooperation

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received on November 18, 2024, Lieutenant General Eng. Emad El-Din Adawi, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Asim Ahmed Hassan, Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of Sudan in Cairo, to discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides and to check on the conditions of Sudanese students studying at Mansoura University, and to discuss some topics related to them.

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater welcomed the Sudanese Ambassador and his accompanying delegation, stressing Mansoura University's keenness to care for its students coming from Sudan in various faculties and specializations, pointing out that Mansoura University obtained institutional accreditation as the first Egyptian university accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, and seeks through its strategy to improve the quality of graduates and achieve competitiveness by preparing distinguished students in all scientific fields, to meet the needs of the labor market. It also has many distinguished educational programs accredited locally and internationally, whether at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels, In addition to educational programs in partnership with international universities, including the Mansoura Manchester Medical Program in the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, and the university obtained accreditation for its university hospitals and specialized medical centers by the Arab Council for Medical Specializations, affiliated with the Council of Arab Health Ministers to qualify Arab doctors to obtain the Arab Board certificate in various clinical and medical specialties.
The Sudanese Ambassador praised the efforts of Mansoura University in caring for Sudanese students and overcoming obstacles, stressing the keenness to continue cooperation in a way that serves the interests of his country's students coming to Mansoura University. He also pointed out that Sudan has been honored by distinguished graduates from Mansoura University, who are now holding important positions and ministerial portfolios in various African countries.
Dr. Asim Ahmed Hassan Hassan also praised the distinguished level of Mansoura University, stressing that it is a scientific beacon in the Middle East and Africa.
During the visit, the Sudanese Ambassador held a meeting in the auditorium of Prof. Al-Sanhouri at the Faculty of Law, with Sudanese students studying at Mansoura University to learn about their opinions and the problems they face during their studies.
During the meeting with the students, the Sudanese Ambassador stressed the embassy's keenness to follow up on its students from the Sudanese community studying at the university in various specializations, pointing out that the university administration, represented by Prof. Cherif Khater, the university president, praised the good reputation of Sudanese students, stressing that Mansoura University is a well-established university with a prestigious international reputation. He extended his greetings to the Egyptian people and the strong ties between the two peoples that extend across the ages.
