Mansoura University in cooperation with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development launches a training program entitled "Education for Sustainability"

Under the auspices of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University and the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. Mansoura University, in cooperation with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, announced the launch of the training program "Education for Sustainability".

The opening of the program's activities was witnessed by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, stressing the importance of promoting the concept of sustainability in the education sector, and the role of this program in spreading awareness and developing competencies to achieve sustainable development.

The program aims to provide modern visions on education as a pivotal tool for achieving sustainable development goals, with a focus on building the capacities of participants from various faculties and sectors. The training program witnessed valuable lectures presented by experts in the fields of sustainability and artificial intelligence.

On the first training day, Prof. Hussein Abaza, International Environmental Sustainability Consultant, gave a lecture on key topics related to promoting environmental sustainability concepts and their importance in facing global challenges.

On the second day, Dr. Khaled Abu Zeid, Regional Director of the Water Resources Management Program at CEDARE and Regional Director at the Arab Water Council, lectured on integrating the concept of sustainability into water resources development and the importance of managing these resources to achieve sustainable development in the region.

 The program concluded with a lecture by Eng. Hoda Shakra from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, where she discussed digitalization and artificial intelligence applications and their pivotal role in achieving sustainable development and developing innovative solutions to address challenges.

This program comes within the framework of efforts to enhance awareness and develop national staff in the fields of sustainability and sustainable development using the latest technologies.
