Mansoura University hosts and organizes the German-Middle Eastern Forum to link scientific research with industry

Mansoura University organized on November 17, 2024, the activities of the "German-Middle Eastern Forum" to link scientific research with industry, which was hosted by Mansoura University within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, under the auspices of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, as part of a competitive project funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), over two days from November 17 to 18, 2024, in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, former Vice Presidents of the University, Deans of Faculties, Mr. Saad Abdel-Wahab, Secretary-General of Mansoura University, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Khaleq, Forum Rapporteur and Coordinator of the Germinate Program at Mansoura University, with the participation of Dr. Narmin Abdel-Ati, Project Coordinator COSIMENA is affiliated with the DAAD in Egypt, and a group of distinguished speakers from leading universities in Germany, England and Egypt.
The organization of this forum by the Graduate Studies and Research Sector comes within Mansoura University's commitment to strengthening the relationship between scientific research and industry, as more than 20 speakers from scientists and innovators participate in various topics and rich discussion sessions, to transfer the latest innovations from the field of scientific research to industry, and to communicate with industry leaders and academics.
Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi welcomed the attendees to Mansoura University, pointing out that the university pays attention to international cooperation and enhancing aspects of cooperation and academic, research and cultural exchange with educational institutions with a prestigious reputation.
Prof. Tarek Ghalwash expressed his gratitude for the honor of organizing and hosting this major scientific event by Mansoura University under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of the University, as the university gives great priority to the internationalization file by strengthening strong partnerships with various international educational institutions, and seeks, within the framework of its project to link scientific research with industry, to implement research projects in various fields. He also appreciated the partnership and cooperation with the DAAD in Egypt, pointing to its distinguished efforts in linking cultures, creating valuable collaborative opportunities and expanding future horizons.
Dr. Nermin Abdel-Ati, Coordinator of the COSIMENA Project, said that the project aims to enhance scientific exchange programs and the research and innovation system in Egypt by providing vital support to researchers, universities and initiatives that drive academic progress, which is in line with the societal goals of progress and sustainability, as well as enabling universities to become pioneers of entrepreneurship, drive innovation, create job opportunities and become an engine of economic growth and societal impact.
The forum showcases inspiring experiences and rich discussions on the latest innovations, and allows communication with thought leaders in the academic and industrial fields.
The conference targets several categories: faculty members , researchers and graduate students, scientific teams and project students, entrepreneurs, and owners of start-up companies in the field of technology and innovation, with the number of attendees exceeding 400.
It is worth noting that attending the conference is equivalent to attending one of the faculty development courses, the "Entrepreneurship and Innovation Skills" course, and the participant in the conference is granted a certificate accredited by Mansoura University and the German DAAD.
At the end of the first training day, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash honored a number of prominent figures in attendance and speakers.
