Mansoura University President Participates in the Events of the First "University and Industry" Conference at Kafr El-Sheikh University

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, participated in the events of the first "University and Industry" Conference at Kafr El-Sheikh University, to support the national economy and effectively link university graduates with the labor market, held under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moaty, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, and Porf. Abdel-Razzaq Desouky, President of the University, from November 27 to 28, 2024.
In the presence of Prof. Abdel-Razzaq Desouky, President of Kafr El-Sheikh University, Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moaty, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, the presidents of the Delta Region Alliance universities, vice presidents of universities, members of the Parliament and the Senate, deans and vice deans, faculty members, representatives of Al-Azhar and the Church, companies and industrial institutions.
The “University and Industry” conference comes as a step towards enhancing the preparation of highly qualified graduates who compete effectively in the labor market, strengthening partnership with sectors of the industrial community and local and international institutions, exchanging expertise and information, expanding undergraduate and graduate university programs, and creating new specializations to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development and keep pace with developments in the labor market.
During his speech, Prof. Abdel Razek Desouky welcomed the attendees, extending his greetings and appreciation to Prof. Cherif Khater for his wise leadership of the Delta Universities Alliance this year, praising the distinguished event plan that was implemented. He also pointed out that the conference aims to identify the needs of the labor market, keep pace with technological developments, develop the skills and professional capabilities of students and graduates, link them to the labor market to achieve sustainable development, maximize future benefit from the technology of producing research, ideas, experiments and inventions in the relevant organizations in the various fields of industry and trade, and exchange and transfer experiences and knowledge between researchers in universities in the fields of research, innovation, training and consulting, through a productive research environment that achieves the development of the national economy.
The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh welcomed the presidents of the Delta universities and the conference attendees, expressing his pleasure to participate in this important conference that reflects Kafr El-Sheikh University's commitment to its pivotal role in linking scientific research to the challenges of the labor market and providing innovative solutions to enhance the process of sustainable development.
Prof. Cherif Khater on behalf of the Delta Region Universities Alliance, pointed out that it is considered the second largest alliance of Egyptian universities, and aims to implement the vision of the political leadership and the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to enhance partnerships between educational institutions and exchange experiences, and to commit to implementing the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt's Vision 2023, one of the most important principles of which is achieving integration between scientific, industrial and research institutions and the business sector. He also presented the cooperation protocols concluded between Mansoura University and the various universities of the alliance, pointing to the many activities that took place during Mansoura University's presidency of the alliance, including the leadership preparation camp in Gemsa, the launch of cooperation plans between the universities of the Delta region in the education and student sector, postgraduate studies, community service and environmental development, technological fields, empowerment initiatives for people with disabilities, the I Water project, the first meeting of the universities of the Delta region alliance, and Mansoura University’s project to link scientific research with industry. He also reviewed the services provided by the university hospitals sector at Mansoura University, and the statistics that show the number of services provided to more than 2 million citizens in the Nile Delta annually, pointing to the presidential initiatives in which Mansoura University participated strongly in the field of health care, as well as the Decent Life initiative, and the Bridges of Goodness convoys.
At the end of the opening session, Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Moaty and Prof. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of the University, honored Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University and Head of the Delta Region Universities Alliance, for his distinguished efforts in various fields of cooperation between the universities of the alliance, and his wise leadership of the alliance in its current session
