A surprise visit by the President of Mansoura University to follow up on university hospitals

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, made a surprise tour on December 1, 2024, to inspect a number of construction projects in the education and university hospitals sectors, to follow up on the progress of work according to the specified timetables, as well as to provide medical services to patients. He was accompanied during the tour by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
Prof. Cherif Khater stressed Mansoura University's keenness to implement the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and to follow up on the implementation of the plan set in accordance with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research in light of Egypt's Vision 2030, to develop educational and medical services to keep pace with modern developments and growth rates, within the framework of the facility development plan implemented by the university to provide an educational infrastructure at the highest level and equipped with the latest equipment and modern educational means, in a way that serves the university's goals in achieving advanced positions in international rankings, and obtaining accreditation for its faculties, as well as developing the infrastructure in the medical sector to maintain its leadership as a pioneer of medicine in Egypt.
Prof. Cherif Khater directed to continue working at a fast pace and raise the rates of achievement and completion of all works within the specified times and with the highest required quality, to put the projects into service at the specified times, whether in the medical or educational sector, within the framework of the university's commitment to implementing its investment plan, stressing the commitment to the timetable, quality of implementation, final finishes and necessary equipment for the facilities according to the approved specifications.
The tour began with inspecting the development projects at the University Children's Hospital, where the project to develop and raise the efficiency of intensive care was inspected, and the project to finish and re-employ spaces on the 7th floor of the hospital, and follow up on the work that has been accomplished within the approved timetables. The hospital's reception department was also visited, and the medical services provided to patients were followed up, and the opinions of the children's parents were surveyed. The doctors were also warned to be present according to the schedules specified by the medical departments and approved by the hospital administration.
This was followed by an inspection of the Manchester Educational Building Construction Project at the Faculty of Medicine, the Skills Lab Development Project, and the Histology Department Halls Restoration Project, and the Pharmacology Department Halls at the Faculty, where he followed up on the progress of the projects and reviewed the completion rates in accordance with the specified timetables.
It is worth noting that the Manchester Building was built on an area of 1400 square meters and the building consists of 8 floors. The building also includes 4 educational lecture halls, 2 halls for credit hours, 2 skills labs, 2 simulation labs, in addition to 40 rooms for small educational groups.
Then the university president headed to Mansoura University Hospital to follow up on the process of replacing and renovating the central sterilization unit, the psychiatry building project, and the fire system, and to follow up on the work that has been implemented within the specified timetable.
