President of Mansoura University receives President of Al-Muthanna University of Iraq for signing a cooperation agreement between the two parties

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received on December 2, 2024, a delegation from Al-Muthanna University of Iraq headed by Prof. Hussein Kamel Jaber Al-Shaher, President of the University, in the presence of Prof. Muhammad Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Marwa Hassaan, Director of the International Relations Office, and from the Iraqi side, Prof. Latif Abdul Hussein Mousa, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Laith Abdul Hassan Muhammad Jawad, and Assoc.Prof. Rafid Habib Batti, Coordinator of the Memorandum of Understanding.
As well as in the presence of Dr. Yasra Al-Far, Dr. Shadi Awni, Deputy Directors of the International Relations Office, and Dr. Mahmoud Abdullah, Coordinator of Tourism Programs in the Office.
Prof. Cherif Khater said that Mansoura University is aiming to implement the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt's Vision 2030, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to expand international partnerships with institutions with a distinguished global reputation, and to make Egypt a destination for providing educational services in the Arab region and the Middle East. It also reflects the university's keenness to deepen its international role and continue to establish partnerships in various scientific fields of common interest. He added that signing this protocol with Al-Muthanna University in Iraq aims to exchange materials in the field of education, research and scientific publishing, exchange of academic information, exchange of students, conducting joint scientific research and conferences, exchange of modern technology assistants and information systems programs, and establishing joint graduate degrees, dual degrees to serve both parties.
The university president also reviewed a file that includes the most prominent points of excellence at Mansoura University in its educational and medical sectors, including the university obtaining institutional accreditation, as the first Egyptian university to be accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education in Egypt, in addition to many government excellence awards.
Dr. Hussein Kamel expressed his pride to sign a cooperation protocol with the prestigious Mansoura University, which occupies a prominent position among Egyptian universities, noting that the protocol aims to consolidate joint cooperation in all research and academic fields, pointing out that Al-Muthanna University was established in 2007 and is considered one of the best Iraqi universities and is located in one of the southern Iraqi governorates. It consists of 16 faculties, and seeks with its distinguished staff to provide the best means of education, as this university has the latest modern technology in terms of scientific devices and laboratories and libraries rich in books in various scientific and human specializations. It has obtained institutional accreditation and strives to strengthen relations with prestigious international university institutions in the scientific and cultural fields that serve and advance Iraq.
Prof. Muhammad Attia expressed his pleasure to implement cooperation with Al-Muthanna University, pointing out his praise for Iraqi students, stressing the depth of permanent and continuous relations between the two countries.
Prof. Tarek Ghalwash said that Mansoura University has an honorable academic and research level and global ranking, which is reflected in the level of students and researchers, stressing the university's keenness to enhance cooperation with international universities and educational institutions, to raise the scientific and research level of the university in various fields.
At the end of the signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol, shields were exchanged between the two sides, and commemorative photos were taken.
