President of Mansoura University receives President of Sabratha University of Libya to discuss ways of joint cooperation

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received on December 4, 2024, Prof. Salem Al-Harishi, President of Sabratha University of Libya, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two sides, and to provide support to Sabratha University in various academic and research fields.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and from the Libyan side, Prof. Ibrahim Al-Faqih, Director of the Universities Department at the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Rabie Alwan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Cherif Khater said that Mansoura University is striving to implement the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt's Vision 2030, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to expand international partnerships with institutions with a distinguished reputation globally, and to make Egypt a destination and beacon for providing educational services in the Arab region and Africa, and to consolidate the bonds of cooperation with all universities from different countries of the world. He added that Mansoura University welcomes educational, research and training cooperation with Sabratha University, noting that Mansoura University has many educational programs, internationally accredited scientific specializations, and also educational programs in partnership with international universities, in addition to the university's excellence in technological aspects and digital transformation and its receipt of Egyptian government excellence awards in this regard, as well as institutional accreditation, as the first Egyptian university accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education in Egypt, and it also has a medical sector that includes 13 hospitals and specialized medical centers, with a prestigious reputation and position locally and globally, and has been accredited by the Arab Council for Medical Specializations affiliated with the Council of Arab Health Ministers, to obtain the Arab Board in various clinical and medical specializations, in addition to the university being a destination for incoming students from different nationalities, as the number of incoming students within the university reached 15000 students from 52 different nationalities.
Prof. Salem Al-Harishi, President of Sabratha University in Libya, expressed his pleasure with the warm welcome and reception, and the cooperation with Mansoura University as a source of expertise that is pointed out in Egypt and various Arab countries, and contributes positively in all educational and research fields, appreciating the support provided by Prof. Cherif Khater to Sabratha University in Libya, hoping to build ties of communication and partnership in academic aspects, for the purpose of scientific research and training and enhancing the exchange of faculty members and students.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim said the distinction of the engineering sector at Mansoura University, and its possession of accredited qualitative programs that have an advanced international ranking at the local and global levels, which are the first of their kind in Egyptian universities, such as the Renewable Energy Engineering Program, Mechatronics, Medical and Bioengineering.
Prof. Ibrahim Al-Faqih said that Libya has 27 public universities, expressing the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education's intention to extend the bonds of joint cooperation between various Libyan universities and Egyptian universities, pointing to the prestigious position of Mansoura University and its distinguished scientific reputation, which we are proud to consolidate cooperation with in various fields.
At the end of the meeting, commemorative shields were exchanged and some photos were taken.
