A delegation from the European Society for Gynecological Oncology (ESGO) visits Mansoura University to renew the accreditation of the Oncology Center

Mansoura University continues its medical milestones under the leadership of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of the University
Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, received a delegation from the European Society for Gynecological Oncology (ESGO), on December 13, 2024, on an official visit to renew the accreditation of the Oncology Center at Mansoura University, as a training center for gynecological oncology surgeries for a period of five years, after its first accreditation for a period of two years, and receiving the honor of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in 2022, confirming its leadership and excellence in providing medical and scientific services. In the presence of Prof. Al-Shaarawy Kamal, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Walid Al-Nahhas, Director of the Oncology Center, Prof. Basil Rafqi, Director of the Training Unit at the Center, and directors of units and faculty members at the Center.
Prof. Al-Shaarawy Kamal said that this accreditation was a first of its kind that gave the opportunity for all specialists to obtain training accredited by the European Society.
Prof. Walid Al-Nahhas said that the Mansoura University Oncology Center is the first in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Africa and Arab countries to be accredited by the Women's Society.
The delegation's visit program included a tour inside the Oncology Center in the operating rooms, intensive care, and surgery departments. The program also included a presentation on the center's distinguished services in the field of gynecological oncology surgeries, in addition to discussing clinical and published research that enhances the center's position as a leading institution.
