Mansoura University President holds a meeting with journalists and media professionals in Dakahlia Governorate

Prof. Cherif Khater: I appreciate the role of the media and the press as an essential part and partner in highlighting the efforts made within state institutions, and part of the success of the education and scientific research system at the university.
Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater met on December 22, 2024, with journalists and media professionals, representatives of press and media institutions, websites and television channels in an expanded meeting, in the presence of Mr. Hazem Nasr, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper, Head of the Journalists' Syndicate Committee in Dakahlia, Mr. Ihab Nazim, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al-Gomhoria, Deputy of the Syndicate Committee, a large number of journalists and media professionals representing press and media institutions, websites and television channels.
Prof. Cherif Khater extended his greetings to all journalists and media professionals for their distinguished work in spreading the efforts of Mansoura University in various sectors, noting that they are an essential part and partner in highlighting the efforts made within state institutions, and part of the success of the education and scientific research system at the university. He reviewed the most prominent achievements within the university over the past year, as well as the work plan during the coming period in various faculties and all sectors, as well as the list of activities, events and conferences that will be implemented during 2025, highlighting the support provided by the political leadership to all sectors of the state, and emphasizing awareness programs and activities that aim to develop students' awareness of all challenges facing the country. He indicated his keenness to lead the university on the basis of participation and consultation, and to form work teams and objective committees to ensure achieving the highest levels of objectivity and transparency.
During the meeting, the University President discussed the university's support for the medical sector, including all its hospitals and specialized medical centers, whether at the level of raising efficiency and capacity, or developing infrastructure, noting that the university is a medical beacon that provides its distinguished medical services to citizens in the Delta and various parts of Egypt, with attendance rates exceeding 2 million patients annually, due to patients' confidence in the excellent medical services provided to visitors from all Delta governorates, in light of the state's orientations to develop medical services, facilitate patients, eliminate waiting lists, and fully digitalize medical services in hospitals and medical centers, in order to ensure the comfort of the visiting patient. He also stressed that Mansoura University is the first university to implement the electronic reservation and follow-up system in the university hospitals sector, which ensures the organization of patients' entry to clinics in hospitals and medical centers to reduce the burden on visitors. He also pointed out that the year 2025 will witness the digitization of work within hospitals and medical centers in full, and will begin implementing the doctors' summoning system, after its experimental operation during the past period.
Prof. Cherif Khater stressed Mansoura University's keenness to implement the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and follow up on the implementation of the plan set in light of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research in light of Egypt's Vision 2030, to develop educational and medical services to keep pace with modern developments and growth rates, within the framework of the plan to develop facilities implemented by the university to provide an educational infrastructure at the highest level equipped with the latest equipment and modern educational means, in a way that serves the university's goals in achieving advanced positions in international ranking, and obtaining accreditation for its faculties.
In the community service sector, the university continues to provide all services in presidential initiatives, as well as providing integrated services weekly in medical convoys, to border areas and within the centers and villages of Dakahlia Governorate.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Cherif Khater listened in an open dialogue to the proposals and demands of journalists and media professionals and promised to work to meet and achieve them during the coming period.
The journalists and media professionals expressed their thanks and appreciation to Prof. Cherif Khater for his friendly and open conversation with them, his keenness and great and constant interest in meeting with them and explaining the efforts made by the university in all fields, and enhancing various means of cooperation with them, as well as activating the role of the university’s media center.
