Mansoura University President receives the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation team to renew the accreditation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for the second time

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation team to renew the institutional accreditation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and to accredit the Food Health and Safety Program at the Faculty, as well as to accredit the Finance and Economics Program at the Faculty of Commerce, as part of the university visit program specified by the Authority.
The delegation included Prof. Evan Ibrahim Saad, Head of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Accreditation Team, and the membership of Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Sabour El-Maghribi, Prof. Hani Youssef Hassanein, and Prof. Ibrahim Mohamed Faris.
The delegation also included Prof. Camelia George Michel, Head of the Finance and Economics Program Accreditation Team, and Prof. Saber Adly Shaker.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Maha Al-Ashmawy - Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Mona Dakroury - Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Prof. Nisreen Shalaby - Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Center at Mansoura University, Prof. Amir Shaalan, Prof. Fatima Al-Gohary - Deputy Directors of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Center, Prof. Iman Abu Al-Fadl Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Amira Kamal - Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Commerce.
At the beginning of his speech, Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed the delegation of the Authority to Mansoura University, stressing the keenness of the university to keep pace with the standards of quality and excellence and apply the accreditation in the various faculties of the university in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. He also reviewed the achievements of the university, its faculties and various units, and what is being done to meet the quality standards according to the accreditation guide, as well as the efforts made to overcome obstacles and improve performance. He praised the fruitful cooperation with the authority, thanking them for the technical and academic support provided to the university to obtain academic accreditation as the first accredited public university in Egypt, pointing out the university's role in supporting faculties applying for accreditation at the technical and logistical levels.
Prof. Evan Ibrahim Saad said that Mansoura University is one of the prestigious universities that provides scientific, research and community services and is moving steadily and with a clear vision towards progress and development, and that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is one of the most important specializations that Mansoura University is distinguished by. She explained that the aim of the visit comes within the framework of renewing the accreditation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education for the second time, as well as accrediting the Food Health and Safety Program.
Prof. Camelia George praised the efforts made by the university to improve the quality of education in all faculties of the university, its excellence in all fields and its effective contribution to achieving continuous qualitative development for Mansoura University and an advanced position at the national, regional and international levels in order to achieve its vision and mission.
Prof. Maha Al-Ashmawy explained that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has been accredited before, and this visit is to renew accreditation for the second time, adding that the faculty is currently witnessing a major milestone to raise the quality of the educational process and strive to compete internationally with universities and raise the level of competitiveness of graduates locally and internationally.
Following the meeting, the two teams of the Accreditation Committee from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education headed to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Commerce to conduct a field visit according to the visit program specified by the Authority, which lasted for three days.
