Dr. Zahi Hawass narrates "Secrets of the Pharaohs" at Mansoura University Cultural Salon

The university president honors Dr. Zahi Hawass before the opening of the "Secrets of the Pharaohs" symposium.
Dr. Zahi Hawass discusses a master's thesis at the university's Faculty of Commerce.
Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received the great archaeologist and Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass - former Minister of Antiquities Affairs, during his visit to Mansoura University, on December 17, 2024, as part of the university's cultural salon activities, and his lecture on "Secrets of the Pharaohs", in the Grand Conference Hall of the university administration.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Mohamed Attia, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, former vice presidents of the university, deans and vice deans of faculties, the Executive Director of University Hospitals, in addition to members of the cultural salon, faculty members, media professionals and journalists, number of public figures, and students from various faculties of the university.
The meeting was moderated by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, who expressed his appreciation and pride in the great scholar and faithful guardian, as some called him, Dr. Zahi Hawass. He also expressed his pride in managing a cultural salon that highlights the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization, which is one of the oldest and greatest civilizations known to human history, and which represents an immortal symbol of mystery and beauty, and an inexhaustible source of inspiration for researchers and explorers around the world, as it provides us with a glimpse into the life of a great nation that contributed to shaping the face of human civilization.
Prof. Cherif Khater expressed his pleasure with this important cultural event, pointing to the great role played by Dr. Zahi Hawass in enhancing global awareness of Egyptian civilization. He also discussed the need to highlight the greatness of Egyptian civilization and its ancient history, noting that Egypt has an incomparable cultural heritage, pointing out that the university is always keen to educate its students about the importance of this heritage and the need to preserve it.
Before the start of the symposium, Prof. Cherif Khater presented the university shield to Dr. Zahi Hawass, in appreciation of his great efforts in the field of Egyptology and revealing the secrets of Egyptian civilization.
Dr. Zahi Hawass expressed his pleasure to visit Mansoura University and meet with its youth, where he reviewed the most important stations in his life story from childhood until he took the first steps to success in archaeology and became one of the greatest and most important scientists in ancient Egyptian civilization, stressing the need for a person to love his work in order to excel in his achievement. He added that the year 2025 will be a year full of archaeological discoveries in Egypt, pointing out that during this year, important questions that have occupied the minds of archaeologists around the world will be answered. In addition, he talked about some of the secrets of the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khufu, the Sphinx, and the tombs of the workers who built the pyramids, which is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries that confirm that the Egyptians are the builders of the pyramids.
Dr. Zahi Hawass talked about his recent meeting with the international YouTuber "Mr. Beast" and taking him on a tour of the pyramids area, to convey to the world the greatness of Egyptian civilization and highlight its true image. He concluded his talk asking the youth to necessarily meet, unite and cooperate in light of the current circumstances and challenges that our beloved Egypt is going through.
At the end of the symposium, Dr. Zahi received multiple questions and inquiries from the attendees.
It is worth noting that Dr. Zahi Hawass discussed a master's thesis at the Faculty of Commerce entitled “The Impact of Influencers' Credibility on the Purchase Decision by Mediating Relationship Quality Variables with Application to Tourism Real Estate Companies” by researcher/ Mohamed Ali.
