Mansoura University President inaugurates the 2nd exhibition of career development centers "Employment Opportunities and Field Training"

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, inaugurated on February 25, 2025, the activities of the 2nd exhibition of the Professional Development Centers, "Employment Opportunities and Field Training", in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Mona Abu El-Ezz, Executive Director of the Professional Development Centers, Assoc. Prof. Tarek El-Bahi, Director of the Entrepreneurship and Employment Unit, Assoc. Prof. Hesham Yassin, Director of the Training Unit, and representatives of private sector companies, held during the period from February 25-27, 2025, within the framework of implementing the university's plan to care for students and graduates by training them, honing their skills, and providing them with a job opportunity. The exhibition is attended by 39 major companies and institutions in the medical, engineering, software, education, training, commercial, financial and banking sectors, offering more than 500 employment opportunities and 200 training opportunities, which represents the largest opportunity to communicate with recruitment and training officials in major companies, to learn about the needs of the labor market.
Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed all participants in the exhibition, extending his greetings and appreciation to them for their effective and continuous communication with the university's career development centers, as part of the university's efforts to build national staff capable of competing in the labor market through the pivotal role in preparing students for the jobs needed by the labor market and linking the university with the private sector and training in leadership skills, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership and in accordance with Egypt's vision and in light of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030. Ha also discussed the pioneering role of the university's career development centers in working to bridge the gap between university education outcomes and labor market needs by developing students' job skills and providing students with professional skills and career guidance and counseling services, preparing them for the labor market and linking them with appropriate job opportunities, keeping pace with the needs of the evolving labor market, providing students with the opportunity to determine their successful career paths, and training in leadership skills, problem solving, critical thinking and entrepreneurship.
The university president added that the participation of this large number of companies and institutions in the second career fair reflects the private sector's confidence in Mansoura University graduates and their ability to meet the needs of the labor market.
Prof. Mohamed El-Bayoumi expressed his pleasure with the remarkable development in the university's career development centers over the past few years, which have been able to be an effective platform and a meeting place for students to benefit from the activities it offers.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim said that this exhibition represents a valuable opportunity for students and graduates to communicate directly with employers, learn about available job and training opportunities, and gain the necessary experience that qualifies them to succeed in their professional lives.
Dr. Mona Abu El-Ezz pointed out that organizing this exhibition comes within the commitment of Mansoura University's career development centers to their vital role in providing job opportunities and field training by achieving effective communication with leading private sector companies in various sectors, as essential tools for achieving sustainable development and enhancing economic growth, especially in light of the increasing challenges facing our societies at the regional and global levels.
Dr. Tarek El-Bahi said the vital role played by the Entrepreneurship and Employment Unit at the career development centers in achieving this goal through weekly employment bulletins, employment forums, and discussion sessions with experts in the field of entrepreneurship and various fields.
Dr. Hesham Youssef said that the exhibition also represents an opportunity to provide support in preparing a CV approved by the Career Development Centers, as well as an opportunity to obtain a letter of recommendation from various companies and institutions.
An open dialogue session was held with business owners and representatives of companies participating in the exhibition to discuss the skill and knowledge requirements of graduates and their suitability for companies that are clearly reflected in determining the selection criteria. The challenges facing business owners when employing university graduates were presented, as well as what support they can provide to address these challenges in light of the societal role assigned to them in achieving the goals of sustainable development.
At the end of the dialogue, the Career Development Centers Administration presented Prof. Cherif Khater, President of the University, with the Center's shield in appreciation of his unlimited support and providing all available means for the success of the work plans in the centers.
The President of the University also honored Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi in appreciation of the distinguished effort and successful management of the Career Development Centers. His Excellency also honored the company sponsoring the exhibition, and extended thanks and appreciation to the administrative work team in the centers.
