The course aims to enhance the capabilities of administrative security personnel to perform their duties on campus and in medical facilities according to comprehensive professional and humane standards. The training includes adherence to disciplinary standards during service, visiting facilities, and treating students, faculty members, the administrative staff, and the public, particularly patients in university hospitals. The program also covers crisis and risk management, developing communication and etiquette skills, documenting daily work, and adhering to the official uniform. This course was held in implementation of the recommendations of the University Council during its session held last month, chaired by Prof. Cherif Khater, President of the University. During the session, the Council emphasized the need to develop specialized training programs for the university's administrative security personnel in the educational and medical sectors, and to activate the role of training centers in serving the university's work system.
The course was prepared by a specialized committee headed by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and including several directors of training centers, the University Secretary-General, the Executive Director of University Hospitals, and the Director of University Security. The aim was to ensure the integration of roles and coordination between various sectors in developing a comprehensive training program that meets the university's security and organizational needs.
In his remarks, Prof. Cherif Khater siad that this training course represents a qualitative shift in the university's strategy for human resource development. He explained that professionalism in security performance means combining discipline with the ability to communicate effectively with all segments of the university community, which reflects the civilized image of Mansoura University. He added that the university strives for administrative security personnel to be ambassadors for their institution in all their interactions, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism, both on campus and within university hospitals, as this has a direct impact on the satisfaction of students, patients, and visitors. He also emphasized that developing administrative security skills is not limited to the organizational aspect alone, but also includes training in crisis management according to a scientific approach, and dealing with emergency situations with a disciplined and highly professional spirit.
The training program included three daily lectures. Major General Mohamed Allam presented a lecture entitled "Developing Security Performance and Security Personnel Ethics," followed by Dr. Amira Kamal's lecture on "Security Communication Skills," and Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ghoneim concluded the program with a lecture on "Crisis and Risk Management."
At the conclusion of the first session, Prof. Ahmed Motawea, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, presented certificates of appreciation to the participating trainers in recognition of their outstanding efforts in the success of the training program. He added that institutional advancement can only be achieved through the development of human resources and empowering them with the tools of knowledge and skills. The training program is scheduled to be conducted six consecutive times during August and September 2025, ensuring the participation of all administrative security personnel in the educational and medical sectors. Full attendance is required as a prerequisite for passing the course. The university also emphasized that contracting companies require their security staff to undergo the same training, ensuring the integrity of the security system within the university and its educational and medical facilities.
