The Grand Mufti of Egypt Participates in a Master's Thesis Discussion at Mansoura University on Shared Human Values Among Religions and Their Role in Achieving Social Security

His Eminence Prof. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad, the Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt, participated in the discussion of a Master's thesis submitted by researcher Shrouq Shaaban Al-Ajami Khader at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University. The thesis, titled "Shared Human Values Among the Abrahamic Religions and Their Role in Achieving Social Security," was presented during his visit to the university to participate in the 16th Science Day celebrations.
The discussion took place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the conference hall of the Faculty of Arts. Attendees included Prof. Mahmoud Al-Jaidi, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Mosaad Salama Mandour, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; representatives from Al-Azhar and the Church; representatives from the Ministry of Religious Endowments; members of Parliament; faculty members and researchers from Mansoura and Al-Azhar Universities; and a number of graduate students.
The examining committee comprised: Prof. El-Sayed Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Khader, Professor of Islamic Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University (Principal Supervisor and Committee Chair); His Eminence Prof. Nazir Mohamed Ayad, Professor of Theology and Philosophy at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, and the Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt (Examiner); and Dr. Reda Mahmoud Mohamed El-Saeed, Assistant Professor of Da'wah and Comparative Religion at the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion and Da'wah in Mansoura, Al-Azhar University (Examiner).
During the discussion session, the researcher addressed the dimensions of the concept of shared humanity among the Abrahamic religions and its impact on achieving societal security. This was done through a review of the system of shared values advocated by the Abrahamic messages, such as mercy, justice, equality, cooperation, and tolerance, as foundations for achieving social peace and ensuring the stability of societies.
At the conclusion of the discussion, the examining committee decided to award the researcher a Master's degree in Islamic Philosophy with the grade of "Excellent," recommending that the thesis be printed and circulated among universities at the expense of Mansoura University, in recognition of its scholarly value and its contribution to enriching human and philosophical thought.
