Mansoura University President Honors Student Activities Competition Team and October Celebration Organizers

Prof. Cherif Khater: Honoring the participants is in recognition of the university's achievements and its leading position in student activities, earning it the gold category in the Egyptian survey.
Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, honored the participants in the student activities competition held at the level of Egyptian universities, as well as the organizing committee for the grand celebration of the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October victories, today in the main meeting hall of the General Administration building. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Maha El-Ashmawy, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Prof. Mohamed Zahry, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; Colonel Mohamed Abdel-Bary, Director of Military Education; Dr. Mohamed Sabry Saraya, Student Activities Coordinator; Dr. Mariam Wissa, Deputy Student Activities Coordinator and General Coordinator of the competition; Mr. Ahmed El-Ashry, Director General of Student Welfare; heads of centers and units; activity coordinators in the faculties; faculty members; and student welfare leaders and administrators.
Prof. Cherif Khater expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Education and Student Affairs sector, led by Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, emphasizing that the university is proud of its unprecedented achievements during the 2024/2025 academic year. These achievements included securing first place among Egyptian universities in the "Best University in Student Activities" competition and achieving the gold category in the Egyptian Student Participation Survey. He noted that this excellence reflects a comprehensive system implemented through tremendous efforts throughout the year. These efforts involved deans, vice deans, faculty members, secretaries, activity coordinators, the General Administration for Student Welfare, the administrative staff, and the students themselves, who demonstrated commendable awareness, responsibility, and creativity. He emphasized that student activities have become a fundamental pillar in building students' character and preparing them for the future, in accordance with the state's strategy and Egypt's Vision 2030. He added that the university's ranking first among Egyptian universities is a natural reflection of the scale of events it has implemented in cultural, sports, artistic, scientific, social, scouting, and public service fields. This is in addition to the outstanding success in organizing the Grand National celebration commemorating the 6th of October, in partnership with the Dakahlia Governorate, which served as a model of institutional cooperation and teamwork.
Prof. Cherif Khater extended his greetings to everyone, affirming that the university will continue to support and expand these activities, and that what has been achieved today is just the beginning of a greater path of accomplishments, reflecting Mansoura University's standing and leadership both locally and internationally.
Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi expressed his deep appreciation to the university president for his continuous support and confidence in the sector, emphasizing that the achievements are a result of the university administration's belief in the importance of student activities as a tool for building students' character and enhancing their leadership and innovative skills. He stated that the team working in the sector operates with a unified spirit, embodying a model of cooperation, integration, and commitment. He noted that student activities have become a genuine platform for developing university students' skills in planning, time management, self-development, innovation, and teamwork, as clearly demonstrated by the university's achievements this year. He also added that the student participation rate exceeding 80% in the Egyptian survey is a clear indicator of students' awareness and desire to be active participants in enhancing their university experience. He commended all university staff, including administrators, faculty members, military leaders, and students, for their contributions to this success, as well as for the remarkable organizational achievements of the October celebrations.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the heads of the student activities competition's criteria, the general coordinator of student activities and his deputy, the director general of student welfare, and the directors of student welfare departments in the general administration and the colleges.
The team that organized the October celebration was also honored, which included the Supreme Organizing Committee: Dr. Mohamed Sabry Saraya, Dr. Shaimaa Abdel Wahab, Dr. Mariam Wissa, the General Administration for Student Welfare, the Military Education Administration, the General Administration for Public Relations, the Media Center Administration at Mansoura University, and the Media Office of the University President.
