President of Mansoura University Discusses Strengthening Academic Cooperation with Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo

As part of efforts to bolster academic ties between Mansoura University and Iraqi universities, Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, received Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, at the Ambassador's residence in Cairo.
The meeting was also attended by Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Al-Mu'tasim Billah Al-Bahrawi, General Supervisor of the International Students Administration.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues for developing academic cooperation between educational institutions in both countries. Discussions also addressed several issues related to Iraqi students studying at Mansoura University and ways to provide a supportive learning environment that facilitates their academic progress.
During the meeting, Prof. Cherif Khater emphasized Mansoura University's pride in the scientific partnerships between Egypt and Iraq, noting the university's readiness to expand areas of joint cooperation in research and academic programs, building upon the successful experience of graduate programs implemented by the university in collaboration with Future University in Babylon Governorate. For his part, the Iraqi ambassador expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Mansoura University in caring for Iraqi students, stressing the embassy’s keenness to follow up on their affairs and provide everything necessary to ensure their academic stability.
