Mansoura University honors Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi in recognition of his contributions, coinciding with the end of his term as Vice President for Education and Student Affairs

Mansoura University, under the leadership of its President, Prof. Sherif Khater, held a ceremony to honor Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, in recognition of his distinguished academic and administrative career and his outstanding efforts that contributed to the development of the education and student affairs sector, the strengthening of the university's institutional work system, and the establishment of a supportive educational environment for excellence and innovation.

 The ceremony was attended by Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, former President of Mansoura University and Academic President of the University of Hertfordshire; Prof. El-Saeed Abdel-Hadi, President of Horus University; Prof. Tarek Mostafa Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research and Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector; Prof. Mohamed Sweilem, former Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Hassan Etman, former Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Magda Nasr, former Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Nesreen Omar, Member of Parliament and former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; current and former deans of faculties; Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, a pioneer in liver transplantation; members of the Council of Education and Student Affairs; faculty vice deans; the Executive Director of University Hospitals; directors of hospitals and specialized medical centers; Prof. Ali Tawfik, Head of the Doctors Syndicate in Dakahlia; Mr. Hazem Nasr, Head of the Journalists Syndicate in Dakahlia; Mr. Osama Moussa, former Secretary General of the University; Mr. Ashraf El-Deeb, Assistant Secretary General of the University for Administrative Affairs; and Dr. Walid Tantawi, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, along with a number of academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, staff, the Student Union, and a large group of Mansoura University students, were present.

 During his speech, Prof. Cherif Khater emphasized that Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi had been a key partner in the university's success since its inception. He stated that their relationship was built on trust, teamwork, and continuous consultation in managing various matters. He praised Prof. El-Bayoumi's extensive administrative experience and his ability to manage major projects and events with efficiency and competence, as well as his dedication and high moral character. Prof. Khater affirmed that the university would always cherish his impactful contributions, noting that he was not merely a Vice President of the University, but a brother, friend, and partner in achieving its accomplishments.

 For his part, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset explained that his relationship with Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi spanned more than three decades, a period marked by a distinguished academic and administrative career. He praised Prof. El-Bayoumi's extensive experience, which made him a leading authority on education and student affairs, as well as his encyclopedic knowledge and passion for the Arabic language and the arts. Dr. Abdel-Basset emphasized that Dr. El-Bayoumi's true impact extended beyond his administrative achievements to the love and respect he instilled in his colleagues, students, and all who interacted with him.

 Prof. Tarek Mostafa Ghalouwash affirmed that Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi embodied the ideal university leader who understood the value of his word and responsibility, and who respected institutional work and the administrative hierarchy. He noted that Dr. El-Bayoumi's personality combined profound intellect with refined humanity, and that his legacy will endure through the values ​​he instilled and the love and respect he earned from his colleagues.

 In a speech on behalf of his classmates from the Class of 2022 at the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Hatem Badr, former Head of the Neurosurgery Department, affirmed that Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi had been a model of brilliance and excellence since his student days, a distinction that continued throughout his academic and administrative career. He dedicated his scientific and administrative expertise to serving Mansoura University, the education sector, and its students, becoming a role model in university leadership. Dr. Badr noted that Dr. El-Bayoumi's extensive knowledge, broad culture, and high moral character earned him the love and respect of his colleagues, emphasizing that this honor reflects the appreciation of the university and his peers for a career filled with dedication and achievement.

 In a speech on behalf of the deans of the faculties, Prof. Mahmoud El-Gaeidy, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, praised Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi's wisdom in administration, broad culture, and refined manners. He emphasized that Dr. El-Bayoumi combined the integrity of an academic scholar with the efficiency of an administrator and the humanity of a colleague and friend, transforming responsibility into a vision and achievement into a mission, thus leaving an indelible mark on the history of Mansoura University.

 In a speech on behalf of the Council of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Sweilem El-Basyouni affirmed that Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi presented a pioneering model of university leadership, based on dedication, institutional work, and a focus on the student as the core of the educational process. He noted that the achievements during his tenure reflected a conscious vision and wise management that contributed to the development of the sector and the enhancement of the quality of student services and activities.

 Dr. Walid Tantawi delivered a speech on behalf of Mr. Saad Abdel Wahab, the University Secretary General, in which he affirmed that Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi exemplified the ideal university leader, combining administrative competence with human compassion. He emphasized Dr. El-Bayoumi's significant contributions to the development of the student affairs sector by fostering a culture of institutional work, supporting digital transformation, and enhancing the quality of services, leaving a lasting impact on the university's history.

 Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi expressed his sincere gratitude to the administration of Mansoura University for this honor, affirming that the university will always be his home, a place he is proud to belong to. He emphasized that the achievements attained were not the result of individual effort, but rather the product of collective work in which all members of the university participated with a spirit of dedication and loyalty. He also reviewed the most prominent milestones of his journey within the university since joining the Faculty of Medicine in 1983, stressing that what remains in the memory is not positions or authority, but rather genuine faces, human relationships, and impactful actions. He expressed his gratitude to all his partners in success who accompanied him on his journey, affirming that serving Mansoura University has been, and will remain, an honor and a responsibility he cherishes.

 At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Cherif Khater presented the Mansoura University Shield to Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, in appreciation of his distinguished career and contributions to the university. Commemorative photos were taken that embodied feelings of loyalty and pride in one of its loyal figures. The events concluded with a violin performance by Dr. Ramez El-Nabulsi, followed by an artistic musical performance by the Mansoura University Choir, led by Maestro Moheb Girgis.
