Military education students at Mansoura University donated 75 units of blood to Mansoura University Hospital

The campaign aimed to support the blood bank at Mansoura University Hospital and contribute to meeting patients' needs for blood units.
Under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, the university's Military Education Department organized a blood donation campaign for Mansoura University Hospital. This initiative supported the blood bank, ensured the availability of blood units for patients, and instilled the values of volunteerism and social responsibility among students.
The campaign was held as part of the efforts of the Mansoura University Hospitals Administration, led by Prof. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Prof. El-Shaarawy Kamal, Executive Director of University Hospitals. It was supervised by Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Saad, Director of the Military Education Department, in coordination with Prof. Walid Mounir, Director of Mansoura University Hospital, and overseen by Dr. Nadia El-Menshawy, Director of the hospital's blood bank. The campaign witnessed a remarkable turnout of military training students who donated blood, reflecting their awareness of the importance of participating in humanitarian initiatives and supporting patients.
The campaign resulted in the collection of 75 units of blood, bolstering the blood bank at Mansoura University Hospital. This will contribute to meeting patients' needs, particularly in critical and emergency cases, and enhance the blood bank's readiness to provide necessary units when required.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Saad explained that organizing the campaign is part of the administration's plan to promote a culture of volunteerism among students and encourage their participation in community initiatives. He noted that all donors underwent medical examinations and the necessary tests according to approved health protocols to ensure the safety of donors and the quality of the blood units.
The campaign underscores the importance of cooperation among the various sectors of Mansoura University in supporting the blood bank at university hospitals and contributing to meeting patients' needs, continuing the university's role in serving the community and participating in humanitarian initiatives.
