Mansoura University: University Dormitories Ready to Receive Students and Provide a Safe and Comprehensive Living Environment

Following the directives of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the university's commitment to providing a suitable educational and living environment for its students, Dr. Walid Tantawi, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, conducted an inspection tour of the Al-Zahraa and Gihan female student dormitories. The tour aimed to monitor maintenance, preparation, and cleaning work, and to ensure the readiness of buildings, facilities, and services to receive new and returning students at the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.
The tour included monitoring routine maintenance and building and furniture upgrades, as well as cleaning and preparation work carried out during the summer break. Emphasis was placed on completing all remaining work before the start of the academic year to guarantee the dormitories' readiness to receive students and provide a suitable and safe living environment.
Dr. Walid Tantawi also reviewed the procedures for receiving new and returning students in the dormitories, and the readiness of facilities, restrooms, and various services, ensuring smooth operations and meeting students' needs during their stay. The tour included an inspection of the kitchen and restaurant at Al-Zahraa University dormitory, a review of the facilities and services provided to female students, and an inspection of the dormitories and study halls at both Al-Zahraa and Jihan University dormitory. The tour also included an assessment of the level of services and facilities available to female students within these dorms.
University dormitories provide students with accommodation and dedicated study halls, in addition to services and facilities that allow them to engage in various activities, thus contributing to a suitable environment for stability and academic achievement during their studies.
The tour also included an assessment of the readiness of the various services and facilities serving students within the university dormitories, with particular attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and safety, to ensure the continued provision of services regularly at the start of the academic year.
Dr. Walid Tantawi commended the efforts of the dormitory staff during the summer break and the ongoing maintenance and preparation work in anticipation of welcoming students. He emphasized the importance of completing the work according to the established schedules and maintaining the level of services throughout the academic year. This tour is part of Mansoura University's preparations to welcome students for the 2026/2027 academic year and to monitor the readiness of the university dormitories in terms of buildings, facilities, and services, ensuring a safe and suitable living environment that promotes student stability and academic success.
Dr. Walid Tantawi was accompanied on the tour by Ms. Hayam Mohamed Abdel-Aal, Director General of University Dormitories; Mr. Walid Safwat Abbas, Director of Student Dormitories; Ms. Randa Al-Agami Abda, Director of Female Student Dormitories; Dr. Tamer Abdel-Aziz Al-Radini, Director of the Nutrition Department; Eng. Mohamed Abdel-Moez Al-Shaarawy, Head of the Engineering Affairs Department; and a number of officials, building supervisors, and dormitory staff.
