Mansoura University participates with a distinguished student delegation in the “Sanad” Forum at the Institute for Leadership Development

As part of Mansoura University’s commitment to developing its students’ skills and enhancing their participation in national events, a delegation of university students participated in the “Sanad” Forum, organized by the Institute for Leadership Development in cooperation with the Student Activities Sector of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The forum was held under the patronage of Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, and under the supervision of Dr. Karim Hammam, Advisor to the Minister for Student Activities and Director of the Institute for Leadership Development. Students from public, private, national, and technological universities and Egyptian institutes participated, in line with the Ministry’s strategy to build the Egyptian citizen, enhance national awareness, and develop the capabilities of young people.

The participation of the Mansoura University delegation was under the auspices of Prof. Cherif Khater, University President, and led by Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The delegation was supervised by Dr. Walid El-Tantawy, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Mohamed Sabry Saraya, General Coordinator of Student Activities; Dr. Mariam Wissa, Deputy Coordinator of Student Activities; Mr. Ahmed El-Ashry Helal, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare; and Mr. Amir Abdel-Hakim, Director of the Student Unions and Families Department.

Prof. Cherif Khater emphasized the university's commitment to supporting student activities as a key element in shaping the university student's character, developing their awareness, and honing their leadership and creative skills. He noted that participation in national forums and programs provides students with genuine opportunities to gain experience, promote a culture of dialogue and teamwork, and prepare young leaders capable of assuming responsibility and contributing to community service. For his part, Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi affirmed that the university is keen to expand its students' participation in the various programs and forums organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, given the opportunity these provide for exchanging experiences, developing skills, instilling values ​​of belonging and citizenship, and preparing a conscious generation capable of critical thinking, creativity, and decision-making.

The organization of the "Sanad" Forum comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's direction towards strengthening the role of student activities in building the university student's character, developing their awareness, and refining their leadership and creative skills. This contributes to preparing a generation capable of critical thinking, creativity, and responsibility, and supporting the state's efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The forum also embodies the Ministry's vision of investing in youth by preparing cadres with enlightened thinking and decision-making abilities. In addition, it launched the "Speak Up... A Stage for Inspiring Experiences" platform to share experiences and success stories, and to establish a culture of initiative and innovation among university students.

The forum included a comprehensive program of dialogue sessions, interactive lectures, and practical workshops. Its activities began with a session entitled "Aesthetic Values ​​and Their Impact on Building Individuals and Society," followed by a lecture entitled "The Art of Stress Management and Self-Development." In addition, "Create Your Own Activity" workshops enabled students to develop innovative initiatives in the areas of values, character building, mental health, information security, and dialogue management.

The forum also witnessed the launch of the "Speak Up... A Stage for Inspiring Experiences" platform, where a number of distinguished young role models presented their scientific and practical experiences. The aim was to share successful experiences and encourage students to be creative and proactive, with the intention of expanding the platform to other Egyptian universities and institutes.

The events concluded with an extensive dialogue session entitled "Values ​​and Building the Egyptian Character," in cooperation with the National Media Authority. The session featured His Eminence Prof. Nazir Ayad, the Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Dr. Hossam Mawafi, Professor of Critical Care Medicine at Kasr El Aini Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. The discussion addressed the importance of establishing a system of values, relying on credible sources for acquiring knowledge, and raising awareness among young people, considering these as fundamental pillars in human development.

The Mansoura University delegation included Youssef Mohamed El Sherbini, a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Arts; Nada El Saeed Mohamed Abdel Halim, a fourth-year student in the Nutrition Systems program at the Faculty of Agriculture; Ahmed Mohamed Ali Moawad, a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Nursing; and Rahma Mostafa Ahmed Ahmed, a third-year student in the Faculty of Education. They were accompanied by Sherif El Gaki, the group supervisor.

The university delegation participated in the dialogue sessions, lectures, workshops, and training activities included in the forum, providing its members with an opportunity to exchange experiences with students from other Egyptian universities, benefit from the presented experiences, and develop their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Mansoura University’s participation in the “Sanad” forum comes within the framework of its keenness to support the participation of its students in national programs that contribute to developing their capabilities, and preparing a generation that possesses the awareness, knowledge and skills necessary to participate effectively in serving society, in line with the state’s directions towards building the human being and achieving the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
