Mansoura University organizes an introductory meeting and a campus tour for the Iraqi Al Ain University delegation as part of the summer training program activities

Mansoura University organized an introductory meeting for the Iraqi Al-Ain University delegation at Al-Sanhouri Amphitheater at the Faculty of Law, followed by a campus tour, as part of the activities of the joint international summer training program hosted by the university during the month of July, within the framework of the academic cooperation agreement concluded between the Iraqi universities of Mansoura and Al-Ain, which aims to enhance scientific cooperation, exchange academic and practical experiences, and provide an integrated training experience that combines educational, applied and cultural aspects.

The meeting was attended by Mansoura University, Dr. Walid Al-Tantawi, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs and Coordinator of the Training Program, and Dr. Al-Moatasem Billah Al-Bahrawi, General Supervisor of International Student Administration. From the Iraqi side, Dr. Adnan Taan Thamer, Dean of the College of Medicine at Al Ain University in Iraq and head of the delegation, Dr. Raed Fanoukh Abu Khader, Assistant Dean of the College of Medicine for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Abdul Rahman Abbas Jassim, Director of the International Training Program, were present, along with members of the academic delegation and students participating in the program.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Walid Al-Tantawi welcomed the Iraqi delegation, stressing that the training program embodies the depth of academic relations between the two universities, and comes within the framework of Mansoura University’s keenness to expand its partnerships with Arab universities, and provide the opportunity for students to learn about its educational, research and applied experience, which contributes to preparing cadres who possess the knowledge and skills necessary to keep pace with rapid developments in various specializations.

Dr. Walid Al-Tantawi reviewed the program’s themes and the specialized practical training it includes within the faculties of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, in addition to scientific visits to medical centers and university hospitals, and cultural and recreational activities, stressing that the program was designed to provide an integrated training experience that combines academic, applied and cultural aspects, in a way that enhances the scientific benefit of the participants and enriches their practical experiences.

For his part, Dr. Al-Moatasem Bellah Al-Bahrawi stressed that Mansoura University pays great attention to international students, and is keen to provide a supportive university environment that helps them make the most of their academic and training programs, noting that the introductory meeting aimed to introduce students to university services and student activities, and integrate them into university life, making their educational experience richer and more distinguished.

Dr. Adnan Taan Thamer expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Mansoura University for its good organization and warm reception, praising the development the delegation had seen in the educational and research infrastructure, and the integration of the university’s academic and training capabilities, stressing that the program represents a successful model of Arab academic cooperation, and provides Al Ain University students with a distinguished opportunity to gain scientific and practical experiences within one of the leading universities in the region.

The meeting witnessed an open dialogue with the students, during which the program’s themes and implementation mechanisms were reviewed, and the participants’ inquiries were answered, in addition to introducing the academic and research capabilities that characterize Mansoura University, and the services provided to incoming students, which contributes to preparing the participants to make the most of the training program.

The meeting also included a presentation that reviewed the establishment of Mansoura University, its colleges, university hospitals, research centers, and its achievements in international classifications, in addition to introducing the training program’s axes, objectives, and implementation mechanisms, which allowed students to learn about the academic and research capabilities that the university enjoys, and the opportunities for scientific cooperation and graduate studies.

The meeting was followed by a tour of the university campus, during which the delegation toured a number of colleges and educational and service facilities, and learned about the modern infrastructure of the university, and the advanced educational and research facilities it contains that support the quality of the educational process, within the framework of the cultural program accompanying the training, which allowed the students to get to know closely the university environment and the scientific and research capabilities that Mansoura University abounds with.
