Opening of the 12th Graduates and Employment Forum at the Faculty of Science

Mansoura University opened on November 26, 2024, the events of the 12th Graduates and Employment Forum at the Faculty of Science, held under the auspices of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, and the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the supervision of Prof. Osama Al-Ayan, Dean of the Faculty of Science, as it is organized by the Graduates Follow-up Unit at the Faculty under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Abu Al-Nour, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Iman Abdel Hadi, Director of the Graduates Follow-up Unit.
The forum was inaugurated by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the presence of Prof. Moawad El-Kholi, President of New Mansoura University, Prof. Hassan Othman, former Vice President of the University, Prof. Osama El-Ayan, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Mr. Saad Abdel Wahab, Secretary General of Mansoura University, vice deans, heads of units, faculty members, Dr. Ahmed Obeya, Head of the Syndicate of Scientists, Mr. Hazem Nasr, Head of the Syndicate of Journalists in Dakahlia, and a group of educational and scientific institutions, civil society institutions, entrepreneurship companies, and students of the Faculties of Science.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim discussed the great role of the Faculty of Science at Mansoura University in obtaining institutional accreditation, as the research of the Faculty of Science is a distinguished output unit for the development of Mansoura University. He also stressed the importance of positive cooperation between the Faculties of Science and Engineering in line with developments, noting that science students are the scientific base that serves society. He pointed out that university education is still in the fourth generation stage and we have not moved to the fifth generation stage. He added that the goal is to develop oneself and prepare a creative and innovative graduate.
Prof. Moawad El-Kholi expressed his great pleasure to be in Mansoura University, which is considered the pioneer university in the Delta region, which has been the link between scientific research and industry, directing greetings and appreciation to Prof. Cherif Khater, and added the importance of the inevitability of self-development and the link between science and technology and keeping pace with developments.
Prof. Osama Al-Ayan said that we are always keen to invite graduates to attend such forums and benefit from the presence of partners, business owners and entrepreneurs, and the participation of business and factory owners in the forum, based on the Faculty of Science's belief in the pioneering role played by companies in the fields of training and employment, and an opportunity to showcase honorable models of graduates of the Faculty of Science who work in these prestigious institutions and spread the role model among young graduates.
Dr. Mohamed Abu Al-Nour said that implementing this forum comes within the strategic plan of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector in providing permanent support to science students and graduates, and providing training opportunities and decent job opportunities for them that are consistent with their areas of specialization, academic and practical experiences and labor market requirements. He added that Mansoura University believes in the role of civil society institutions as a strategic partner of the Faculty of Science, and one of the most important labor and training markets for our students and graduates, extending greetings and appreciation to the Dakahlia Development Foundation headed by Engineer Mohamed Abdel Azim.
The forum aims to present training and employment opportunities for students and graduates through participating companies and organizations, present the ideas and visions of business and factory owners in the faculty graduates, and coordinate training courses and workshops on the sidelines of the forum in the various fields of specialization at the faculty, as well as human development, presenting CVs, and how to search for a job.
At the end of the opening ceremony, a number of prominent figures who participated in the conference activities were honored.
